Now, I never just upgrade 'in place' whenever I move from the prior version (different one) of the Mac OS. So, I wanted to download the full installer for OS 10.15.3 from the App Store. No matter how many times I tried, kept getting the message 'Not available'! That had NEVER happened to me before. So, I used doddude1's patcher. When I say English-to-metric conversions, I mean figuring out how many kilometers are in 5 miles (or vice versa). To make that conversion, you can simply type something like 5 miles and Spotlight. Between 2005 and 2011, I had a number of 'headless' Mac mini servers with which I ran a podcast hosting service, and those servers were 750 miles away from my office. To me and my clients at the time, it was as if the servers were sitting right next to me, and I could use screen sharing and Terminal commands to perform tasks.

3.8.8 introduces two security fixes (also present in 3.8.8 RC1) and is recommended to all users:

• bpo-42938: Avoid static buffers when computing the repr of ctypes.c_double and ctypes.c_longdouble values. This issue was assigned CVE-2021-3177.

• bpo-42967: Fix web cache poisoning vulnerability by defaulting the query args separator to &, and allowing the user to choose a custom separator. This issue was assigned CVE-2021-23336.

• typed_ast is merged back to CPython
• LOAD_GLOBAL is now 40% faster
• pickle now uses Protocol 4 by default, improving performance

• The binaries for AMD64 will also work on processors that implement the Intel 64 architecture. (Also known as the 'x64' architecture, and formerly known as both 'EM64T' and 'x86-64'.)
